Nonito Donaire happy to face Scott Quigg in Manchester

Multi-weight world champion Nonito Donaire reveals that he is willing to travel to Manchester to face WBA super-bantamweight champion Scott Quigg.

Scott Quigg could defend his WBA super-bantamweight title against multi-division world champion Nonito Donaire this summer.

Quigg's promoter Eddie Hearn has been trying to put together a unification clash with Northern Irishman Carl Frampton, but with a deal yet to be agreed, Hearn has indicated that a different opponent could be found for the Mancunian.

Donaire has returned to the super-bantamweight division after losing his world featherweight clash with Nicolas Walters in October, and the Filipino has revealed that he would be willing to travel to England in a bid to win another world title.

The 32-year-old told Boxing Scene: "Quigg's people reached out to my manager to see if they could make the fight happen. I'm willing to go there, I'm willing to fight anywhere."

Any bout between the two could take place in Manchester on July 18.
