James DeGale has said that he expects IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch to defeat his arch-rival George Groves.
The super middleweights will face off at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester this Saturday, and although the Olympic gold medallist has picked Froch, he said that it would not surprise him if Groves pulled off an upset.
"To be honest I don't think it is the one-horse race that people think," DeGale told Sky Sports News. "A lot of people think it's Carl Froch's fight and he's going to take him out early - I don't.
"I think it's going to be competitive for eight rounds but Froch is going to get him late on in the championship rounds and stop him late on.
"But saying that, it wouldn't surprise me if 'Ugly Kid' pulls this off, and that's on a serious note."
DeGale's only defeat in 18 fights came against Groves two years ago.
