David Haye to fight at London's O2 Arena in January

Former world heavyweight champion David Haye announces that he will face Australian Mark de Mori on his return to the ring in London on January 16.

David Haye has announced that Australian Mark de Mori will be his opponent when he returns to the ring at London's O2 Arena on January 16.

Last week, Haye announced that he was ending his three-and-a-half year absence from the ring and outlined plans to launch a bid to become world heavyweight champion for a second time.

A number of possible opponents had been suggested, but the 35-year-old, who held the WBA belt between 2009 and 2011, revealed on Tuesday that he would face De Mori at the start of 2016.

The 33-year-old, who has won 30 of his 33 fights as a professional, is ranked at number 10 with the WBA.
