Nathan Cleverly has agreed a deal to face Ilunga Makabu in his first fight since moving up to the cruiserweight division.
The former WBO light-heavyweight champion had been scheduled to meet Daniel Ammann for the Commonwealth strap in November, but the Welshman was forced to withdraw with a back problem.
However, Cleverly will now step in as a replacement for Pawel Kolodziej to compete on the undercard of Gennady Golovkin's next world middleweight bout with Osumanu Adama on February 1.
Makubu, who is ranked in the number three position by the WBA, has won 14 of his last 15 fights by knockout.
