WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns has insisted that he is "good to go" against Puerto Rican challenger Jose Gonzalez on Saturday.
Burns returns to the ring for the first time since September after seeing two fights cancelled through his opponents pulling out of the respective bouts, and the Scot has revealed that he can't wait to step back into the ring.
The 30-year-old told reporters: "I'm good to go. There will be no ring rust."
"It's been disappointing, the last couple of fights falling through. But I had been in full camps for both fights, so it's not as if I was out the gym the whole time.
"The countdown is on. We're a few days away. The preparations have been leading up to this and I just want to get on with it now."
The two-weight world champion has won 35 of his 37 professional fights.
