IBF champion Darren Barker has insisted that the time has come to prove himself against the best in the middleweight division.
Barker defends his world belt for the first time on Saturday night when he faces former world titlist Felix Sturm in Stuttgart, but the Londoner believes that he has what it takes to get the better of the experienced German.
The 31-year-old told BBC Sport: "He was a great champion but this is my time now. He's very experienced but he hasn't experienced Darren Barker yet.
"I'm expecting the best Felix Sturm possible, but I believe that I've got what it takes to beat him.
"I know what his strengths and weaknesses are, and I look forward to exploiting them on the night."
