IBF middleweight champion Darren Barker has targeted a domestic showdown with Martin Murray next summer.
Barker will defend his title against Germany's Felix Sturm before the end of the year, but if he comes through that bout, the Londoner has indicated that he would like to fight Murray in 2014.
The 31-year-old told Sky Sports News: "A lot of people don't understand that I have a mandatory defence first, but I'd love a big domestic British fight against Murray.
"I think Matthew Macklin is going to need to start rebuilding a little bit if he wants a shot but Murray is definitely in line.
"He was unlucky against Sergio Martinez so if he can get a fight in before, I'll be ready to face him in the summer."
Barker won the IBF strap after beating Daniel Geale on points in Atlantic City last month.
