Ali Mazaheri: 'Result was a fix'

Iranian boxer Ali Mazaheri believes that his disqualification was the result of a "fix".

Disqualified Iranian boxer Ali Mazaheri has claimed that his defeat to Cuban Jose Larduet was a "fix", accusing the referee of losing him the chance of a bronze medal.

Mazaheri was disqualified after three warnings for holding, but the boxer himself has said that he is victim of a "set up".

"It was a fix. I could have got a bronze easily if it hadn't been for that," Reuters quotes Mazaheri as saying.

"In my previous fights I had done really well. It was a set up."

Mezaheri walked away from the ring before the result was announced.
