Tony Bellew: 'Nothing will stop me from winning fight at Goodison Park'

Tony Bellew insists that he will win the WBC cruiserweight title at the home of his boyhood club Everton later this month.

Tony Bellew has insisted that his dream to win a title fight at Goodison Park will become a reality on May 29.

The lifelong Everton supporter will go toe to toe with Ilunga Makabu for the WBC cruiserweight belt at the home of the Toffees on Merseyside.

Bellew's character won at the stadium in Hollywood movie Creed, but he is confident that he will achieve his goal in real life in just over three weeks' time.

"It's all on me now," The Mirror quotes Bellew as saying. "I'm a scouser and a mad Evertonian. I don't care how good he is, I don't care how hard he hits, I'm going to become WBC cruiserweight champion in front of thousands of scousers at Goodison Park and nothing will stop me."

Bellew has lost his previous two world title fights.
