Puerto Rican flyweight Jeyvier Cintron has beaten Brazil's Juliao Henriques to book his place in the quarter-finals.
It was a scrappy start to the fight, owing mainly to the clash between orthodox and southpaw stances.
Cintron did enough to take a one-point lead into the second, when both men injected a bit of life into the bout.
The Puerto Rican was getting the better of his opponent, but the Brazilian came on strongly as the round wore on. Henriques started to land a few decent scoring shots, helping him to limit the damage.
Cintron led by two points heading into the final three minutes and looked to put the result out of doubt. He started to hit and move nicely and Henriques was struggling to pin him down.
The judges handed Cintron an 18-13 verdict.
