Dwane Casey: 'Defeat prepares Toronto Raptors for playoffs'

Dwane Casey believes that the Toronto Raptors are still not playing with the intensity that they will need to produce in the playoffs.

Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey has claimed that the defeat to the Brooklyn Nets on Monday gave the team another clue of what to expect in the playoffs.

Casey believes that the Raptors, who are currently third in the Eastern Conference, are not playing with the type of intensity they must produce to make an impact when the regular season ends.

"Again, it was playoff type of basketball with physicality," the Toronto coach told reporters following the 101-97 defeat. "I've said it forever that we have to get ready to play that style of basketball.

"We had three big time turnovers because they got into us at the end of the game."

Toronto will look to return to winning ways when they host the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night.
