Sacramento Kings sign 7'5" center Sim Bhullar

The Sacramento Kings become the first side to sign a player of Indian descent in the NBA as they bring in 7'5" center Sim Bhullar.

The Sacramento Kings have become the first NBA side to sign a player of Indian descent, following their capture of center Sim Bhullar.

Bhullar joins the Kings having played for two years with New Mexico State, where he averaged 10.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.9 blocks.

The 7'5" player failed to make the Draft earlier this year and instead played as part of Sacramento's side that won the NBA's summer league tournament last month.

It is not clear whether Bhullar will stick around to take a shot at the first team, or whether he will move to the franchise's NBA Development League squad.
