Nicolas Batum: 'I should be an All-Star'

Portland Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum believes that he should involved in the All-Star game.

Nicolas Batum has said that he should be included in this season's All-Star game.

The Portland Trail Blazers small forward has been averaging 13.4 points per game this season.

The 25-year-old told CSNNW.com: "Yes, of course. If they have to pick one small forward behind [Oklahoma City Thunder small forward Kevin Durant, who leads the league in scoring], I think it should be me.

"Because of the numbers that I have and the way I play with this team, I got two triple-doubles and I should have about five or six. And we're 31-9, maybe the best team in the West so far.

"I think it'll be tough to get three All-Stars because Damian [Lillard] and [LaMarcus Aldridge] are going to be in it. And our coach, too. But I deserve consideration."

The starters for next month's game are due to be revealed later this week.
