Oklahoma City Thunder trade Reggie Jackson to Detroit Pistons in three-team deal

Reggie Jackson moves to the Detroit Pistons in a trade which sees the Oklahoma City Thunder sign DJ Augustin and Enes Kanter

The Oklahoma City Thunder have sent Reggie Jackson to the Detroit Pistons in a three-team trade.

Jackson, who is set to become a restricted free agent in the summer, had become frustrated with being Russell Westbrook's understudy, and he leaves the franchise in a deal which also included the Utah Jazz.

Oklahoma have received center Enes Kanter and forward Steve Novak from the Jazz, with Kendrick Perkins moving in the opposite direction, while the Thunder have also picked up point guard DJ Augustin and Kyle Singler.

Augustin is now set to replace Jackson as Oklahoma's back-up point guard after recently becoming a starter for Detroit due to a season-ending injury suffered by Brandon Jennings.

The Jazz also received Grant Jerrett, draft rights to Tibor Pleiss, a protected future first-rounder from the Thunder and a Pistons second-round pick, but reports have suggested that they will negotiate a buyout with Perkins.

Yahoo Sports has claimed that the Los Angeles Clippers, Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers are all interested in signing Perkins.
