Kevin Durant has revealed that he is planning a long career with the Oklahoma City Thunder after the latest setback in a frustrating season.
The reigning MVP will miss the rest of the season after undergoing bone graft surgery on his foot on Tuesday, which means that he has just one campaign remaining before becoming a free agent in the summer of 2016.
Despite suggestions that he would be open to listening to offers next year, Durant has claimed that he would prefer to build a legacy in Oklahoma.
"I love it here, man. I love my teammates, I love the city, I don't really think about anywhere else," Durant told Revolt TV.
"Kobe [Bryant], Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki type. That's awesome, but you never know what the future holds sometimes and how teams may feel about you after a while, but I love it here and I would love to get my jersey retired here."
Durant averaged 25.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists over 27 games this season.
