Oklahoma City Thunder coach Scott Brooks has said that Russell Westbrook is the best point guard in basketball.

The Thunder's Westbrook has risen over the past few seasons to become one of the game's most exciting players, with Brooks recently giving a nod towards his player's development.

"I believe Russell's the best point guard in basketball," said Brooks, according to The AP.

"And that's been happening over time. I've seen Russell every practice every game every film session, and he's really put a lot of time into being the best point guard in basketball."

Westbrook will be back in action for the Thunder when they get their new campaign off to a start against the Portland Trail Blazers.
