D'Angelo Russell: 'I can thrive in triangle'

Draft prospect D'Angelo Russell insists that he could thrive in a triangular offensive formation as he prepares to make his step up into the NBA next week.

NBA Draft prospect D'Angelo Russell believes that he could thrive in an offensive triangle when he makes the leap to compete in the league.

Russell is thought to be on the radar of the New York Knicks, and it is reported that the youngster recently met with team president Phil Jackson for a video session to watch the current New York attack in action.

"Now that I look at it, Kobe had great success in it," said Russell in an interview with ESPN.

"The shots that he took, the shots that he made were in the same areas, all from the offense. So I think I can definitely thrive there," Russell said in a phone interview on Friday.

The Knicks currently have the fourth pick in next week's Draft.
