Report: New York Knicks to hire David Griffin as general manager

Phil Jackson will reportedly consider David Griffin as a candidate to become the new general manager of the New York Knicks.

Phil Jackson has reportedly placed David Griffin high on a list of potential candidates to become the new general manager of the New York Knicks.

New York's director of basketball operations has been linked with a move for Phoenix Suns personnel boss Steve Kerr, but recent reports have suggested that he is keen to take on a coaching role.

According to CBS Sports, former Cleveland Cavaliers general manager David Griffin could be considered as a possible replacement for Steve Mills, who would be used in a different role by the franchise if the change his made.

The Knicks are unlikely to make alterations to their staff until the end of the season as they focus on securing a spot in the playoffs.
