Carmelo Anthony has said that he will not be talking about becoming a free agent at the end of the 2013-14 NBA season.
The small forward is entering the final year of his contract with the New York Knicks.
The 29-year-old told reporters: "I'm not. I'm just not going to do it. I'm going to let everybody know the first day that I'm not going to talk about it. Hopefully you guys and your colleagues respect that, and that's it.
"Despite what everybody is saying, I feel that we made some huge strides this summer, acquiring the guys that we went out there and got. The [Andrea] Bargnanis, to get Metta [World Peace], to get Beno [Udrih], to sign Pablo [Prigioni] back, JR [Smith], I'm excited about this team."
Anthony won the NBA's scoring title last season for having the highest average points per game across the league.
