Anthony Davis missed the New Orleans Pelicans' defeat to the Phoenix Suns after spraining his ankle in the team's pre-game shootaround.
The forward rolled his ankle ahead of the meeting at the US Airways Center, forcing him to sit out the game, which the Pelicans lost 74-72.
Coach Monty Williams revealed that Davis may have tripped over teammate Omer Asik, and that it is too soon to tell whether the 22-year-old will be available for tonight's game against the Golden State Warriors.
Davis, who has been averaging 24.6 points per game this campaign, has already missed time this season with a shoulder injury.
