The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly decided not to trade center Pau Gasol ahead of the deadline in February.

The Spaniard recently publicly criticised the team's offensive system under Mike D'Antoni as he claimed that it didn't make the most of his skills.

Speculation suggested that the Lakers would look to move him, particularly with the benefit of additional salary cap space going into next summer, according to ESPN.

However, following his improved performances in the last three games it is understood that they have changed their plan for now.
