NBA roundup: Los Angeles Lakers stun Chicago Bulls in overtime

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Thursday's games in the NBA.

The Los Angeles Lakers stunned the Chicago Bulls with a narrow win after double overtime at the Staples Center.

It had looked like the hosts would end their nine-game losing streak when they led by nine with just over a minute to play, but former Lakers forward Pau Gasol tied the scores.

Jordan Hill led the charge in overtime, adding a jump shot to force the second additional spell before Wayne Ellington put the Lakers in front to seal the victory.

The Indiana Pacers recovered from a slow start to wrap up a comfortable win over the New York Knicks.

The home side found themselves seven points behind against the resurgent Knicks by the end of the first quarter, with Carmelo Anthony making a quick start to the game, but the Pacers recovered to open up a narrow lead heading into half time.

Roy Hibbert made sure that Indiana remained in front with a quick start to the second half, scoring eight of his 18 points early in the third quarter as the Pacers pulled away.

The Memphis Grizzlies crushed the Denver Nuggets in a low-scoring contest at FedExForum, giving them a fifth consecutive win.

The Grizzlies defended hard to restrict Denver in front of the basket, giving away just 11 points in the first quarter as the Nuggets slipped to their eighth defeat in their last nine games.

Zach Randolph led the charge for Memphis with 15 points and 17 rebounds, while five of his teammates also finished in double figures as they shared the workload.

The Milwaukee Bucks secured their first away win over the Orlando Magic since 2004 as they eased to victory at the Amway Center.

Jerryd Bayless, Jared Dudley and Khris Middleton shared the shooting duties as the Bucks piled on the points in the first three quarters to open up a 29-point lead during the third quarter.

Victor Oladipo cut the deficit for the Magic late on, but they were unable to get back in the game, leaving them on a seven-game losing streak.
