Report: Kobe Bryant to miss rest of season

A report suggests that Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant will be ruled out for the rest of the season with a torn rotator cuff.

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant could be out for the rest of the season due to a torn rotator cuff, according to a report.

The 36-year-old sustained the injury in the second half of his side's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, and an MRI scan revealed the tear in his shoulder.

Bryant is mulling whether to undergo surgery on the problem, and is scheduled for further talks with doctors in the coming days, reports ESPN.

Lakers head coach Byron Scott told reporters: "Yeah, I'm worried. We all in the organisation are worried about it."

Bryant has averaged 22.3 points per game this campaign for the Lakers.
