Doc Rivers: 'No Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan friction'

Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers insists that point guard Chris Paul and center DeAndre Jordan do not have a strained relationship.

Doc Rivers has dismissed reports that a strained relationship between Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan could prevent the latter from signing a new contract with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Jordan is due to hit free agency this off-season, and the team have already confirmed that they are prepared to offer the center a five-year max contract.

The coach told ESPN: "I can put this to rest; they get along great. Clearly, like everybody, they don't get along all the time, and they don't get along with me all the time, either, by the way. I don't see that as an issue.

"I think all three, and I'm including Blake [Griffin] in this as well, understand how important the other guy is to them. Meaning, they all three need each other to win, and I think all three get that and all three know that and all three want to do it together. To me, that's the most important thing."

The Clippers were knocked out of this season's playoffs in the Western Conference semi-finals by the Houston Rockets earlier this month.
