Kentucky Wildcats lose seven players to NBA Draft

The Kentucky Wildcats lose their seven top scorers, including projected lottery picks Karl-Anthony Towns and Willie Cauley-Stein, to the NBA Draft.

The Kentucky Wildcats will lose their seven top scorers to the NBA Draft this summer after the players who led the team to a 38-1 record this season announced that they would be turning professional.

Karl-Anthony Towns, Willie Cauley-Stein, Devin Booker, Trey Lyles, Dakari Johnson, Andrew Harrison and Aaron Harrison helped the Wildcats to 38 successive victories before a loss to the Wisconsin Badgers in the final four of the NCAA tournament.

Towns and Cauley-Stein are expected to be lottery picks this year alongside Duke's Jahlil Okafor, who also declared for the Draft on Thursday.

"This was a decision that had to be made, and now is the time to go," Cauley-Stein, who averaged 8.9 points and 6.4 rebounds this season, told reporters.

The NBA Draft takes place on June 25.
