Kevin McHale urges Los Angeles Clippers to cut fouls

Houston Rockets coach Kevin McHale urges the Los Angeles Clippers to cut down the number of fouls that they make against his side.

Kevin McHale has urged the Los Angeles Clippers to "quit hacking" against his Houston Rockets charges after the Pacific Division side were called for 40 personal fouls in their game two win earlier this week.

The Rockets shot 64 free throws, making 42, in the 115-109 victory, which leaves the two sides level in their Western Conference semi-final playoff series.

The coach told reporters: "James [Harden] gets fouled and he doesn't get calls. He attacks the rim he doesn't get every call. I heard them saying we shot too many free throws, well quit hacking us.

"You shoot a lot of free throws when you decide you get in the penalty and start hacking everybody. Yeah, you end up shooting a lot of free throws when you put in your backup, backup center to just grab guys, that just happens.

"Hey, James goes downhill and plays hard. There's a lot of contact the way James plays. I can show you every game, five where he clearly gets grabbed and they don't call it."

The sides play again later today.
