James Harden has insisted that his teammates did a "great job" getting him open to score 40 points during the Houston Rockets' win over the Phoenix Suns.
After missing time in the third quarter with an arm injury, the shooting guard returned in the fourth to score half of his 40 points, securing a 127-118 win for the visitors.
The 25-year-old told reporters: "I mean, credit to my teammates. They're doing a great job of setting screens and getting me open.
"I went to the basket pretty hard, and all my weight went on my elbow, but I'm all right. It went numb right away and I had some pain but I got the feeling back right away."
The Rockets are in action again later against the Los Angeles Clippers.
