Golden State Warriors to sign Anderson Varejao?

Golden State Warriors are reportedly the frontrunners to land former Cleveland Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao.

Golden State Warriors are reportedly the frontrunners to sign Anderson Varejao following his release from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 33-year-old Brazilian center is said to be torn between the Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs and will make his decision after his waivers clear late on Sunday.

According to ESPN, Varejao also received offers from the Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Atlanta Hawks after the Cavs called time on his 11-and-a-half year tenure with the club.

The Warriors would have to release a player in order to bring Varejao into the fold, where he would be united with compatriot Leandro Barbosa and provide much-needed cover for the injured Festus Ezeli and Andrew Bogut.
