Stephen Curry surprised by Mark Jackson MVP remarks

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is surprised that former coach Mark Jackson said that he would pick James Harden over him as the MVP of the 2014-15 season.

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has revealed that he was taken aback that former coach Mark Jackson declared that he would not pick him as the MVP of the league.

Jackson admitted that that he would vote for James Harden of the Houston Rockets for the most valuable player of the 2014-15 season, despite Curry's exploits for the Warriors, who boast the best record in the NBA.

"It's his opinion obviously," Curry told reporters. "He's probably been watching the league.

"People are going to ask what he thinks, especially his ties to the Warriors organisation and myself specifically. Surprised me he said that. But, it is what it is."

Curry has averaged 23.8 points per game for the Warriors this season.
