Report: Cleveland Cavaliers trade Mike Miller, Brendan Haywood to Portland Trail Blazers

A report suggets that the Cleveland Cavaliers are ready to trade Mike Miller and Brendan Haywood to the Portland Trail Blazers to ease the burden on their salary cap.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have reportedly agreed terms to trade Mike Miller and Brendan Haywood to the Portland Trail Blazers.

The deal has been designed by David Blatt's side to ease the growing pressure on their salary cap for the 2015-16 season, which is under duress following the re-signings of LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving in the off-season.

The Blazers will also receive two second-round picks in the 2019 and 2020 NBA Drafts from the Cavs in the transaction, but Blatt's men will gain cash from the deal and up to $13m (£8.3m) in exceptions on their cap, reports ESPN.

Miller averaged 2.1 points per game last season, while Haywood averaged 1.6 for the Cavs.
