Dion Waiters denies fight reports

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Dion Waiters dismisses reports of an altercation between the players.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Dion Waiters has denied reports that he was involved in an altercation during a players-only meeting last week.

The Cavaliers players decided on holding the meeting after the loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

"I'd rather fight somebody else on the other team than one of my teammates," he said after practice on Tuesday, according to ESPN.

"I feel as though we say we're family, then we're a family and I'm going to look out for you to the best of my abilities. All the other stuff is foolishness."

Kyrie Irving has returned to action since with a mask to protect a nasal fracture, while Waiters has missed the last two games with "flu-like symptoms".
