Cleveland Cavaliers pair LeBron James and Kyrie Irving reportedly exchanged words after the loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night.
While the Cavs went on to lose to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday to slip to 1-3 to start the season, the discussion between two of their 'Big Three' was healthy, according to ESPN.
"You just can't explain [the low assist totals]. There's no way you're going to win a basketball game like that, just having six assists. We just can't win like that, and we got to figure out a way to help each other and not make it so tough," James told reporters following the loss to the Jazz.
The two-time NBA champion complimented Irving on his scoring, but the point guard is averaging just 3.8 assists per game so far and he had no assists in the 102-100 loss to Utah in 45 minutes of playing time.
Irving hasn't had an assist in more than six quarters while he has taken 36 shots in that span as the Cavs tied a franchise-record low with six assists, four of them from James, against the Jazz.
