Jimmy Butler named NBA's Most Improved Player

Chicago Bulls star Jimmy Butler is named the NBA's Most Improved Player for the 2015 regular season.

Chicago Bulls guard Jimmy Butler has been named the NBA's Most Improved Player in the 2015 regular season.

Butler will receive the award ahead of Friday's Game three encounter with the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to ESPN.

"I want to win this series, I want to win the championship, and at the end of the season, maybe that Most Improved award will mean a lot more," he said.

Butler averaged 20.0 points this year which was an improvement from 13.1 points per game last season, while he was also named an All-Star for the first time.

In addition, he raised his shooting percentage from 39.7% to 46.2% as the Bulls ended the year as the third seed ahead of the playoffs.
