The Atlanta Hawks have reportedly identified Jeff Green as their top trade target, according to a report.
Recent reports have suggested that the Boston Celtics are eager to find a new team for Green, who has averaged 16.3 points per game this season.
The Hawks have emerged as top contenders to sign the 27-year-old and general manager Danny Ferry has entered preliminary discussions with the Celtics, according to the New York Daily News.
However, Boston are believed to want to sign DeMarre Carroll and at least one other player as part of the deal.
Green, the fifth overall pick in the 2007 Draft, joined the Celtics in 2011.
