Chris Adcock and Imogen Bankier have been eliminated from the badminton mixed doubles after they suffered their second successive defeat.
They won the opening set against German duo Michael Fuchs and Birgit Michels, but their opponents hit back to seal a 11-21 21-17 21-14 victory.
Their final match of Group A will be against South Korean world champions Lee Yong Dae and Ha Jung Eun, but they are now unable to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.
Adcock and Bankier had been considered as outside medal hopes before the tournament.
