Chris and Gabby Adcock take badminton gold

Chris and Gabby Adcock take gold in Sunday's Commonwealth Games badminton final to become the first married couple to triumph in the mixed doubles event.

Chris Adcock and his wife Gabby have become the first ever married couple to win badminton gold at the Commonwealth Games after they beat Chris Langridge and Heather Olver in Sunday morning's final.

The Adcocks breezed past their English compatriots 21-9 21-12 and were comfortable throughout.

The result marked a superb finish to the Games for Chris, after he missed out on a medal in the men's doubles event on Saturday.

Kirsty Gilmour takes on third seed Michelle Li of Canada in the women's singles final today.
