Tiffany Porter vows to return stronger

British hurdler Tiffany Porter believes that she will return stronger after missing out on a medal in the 100m hurdles final at the World Athletics Championships.

Great Britain hurdler Tiffany Porter has insisted that she will return "stronger" after missing out on a medal in the 100m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships.

The European champion was in a strong position, but lost her rhythm over the last couple of hurdles, resulting in her slipping back to fifth before falling as she crossed the line.

The 27-year-old told the British Athletics website: "I'm fine, it was a tough fall [at the end of the race], but I am okay. I'm going to have to go back and look at the race. I think I was in a good position, but I just didn't really execute my last couple of hurdles and that's what happens in terms of athletics.

"I'm just going to grow from this, you have to brush yourself off and do better next time and I will be back next year stronger."

Porter won bronze at the world championships in Moscow two years ago.
