British 200m runner Margaret Adeoye has insisted that she was not impeded by Veronica Campbell-Brown in the heats at the World Athletics Championship.
The Jamaican won the fifth heat in Beijing, while Adeoye came in third to also reach the semi-finals, despite Campbell-Brown running into her lane.
The 30-year-old told BBC Sport: "She helped me get to the finish line so I'm not complaining. That's not happened to me before. I felt a bit rusty but I wanted to make sure I got through.
"I picked up a few niggles in holiday camp and I wanted to make sure my muscles stayed together. I feel fine now and hopefully tomorrow I won't need [leggings]."
Adeoye's teammate Dina Asher-Smith set the fastest time in the heats.
