Adam Gemili's 100m run in under 10 seconds invalid due to wind

GB's Adam Gemili fails to record his sub-10s 100m run in Bedford due to the windy conditions.

Adam Gemili has failed to put his name in the record books for running 100m under 10 seconds due to windy conditions.

The British sprinter completed the race in 9.97 seconds at the Bedford International Games, but it was invalidated due to the 3.7 metres-per-second wind.

Despite not officially recording the time, Gemili's time of 10.12 seconds in an earlier heat was put down as the fastest run of the meeting on Sunday.

The 21-year-old is the only GB athlete to run a sub-10s 100m.
