Niall Flannery has turned his attention to bringing down his time after successfully defending his 400m hurdles title at the British Athletics Championships in Birmingham on Sunday.
A time of 50.16 seconds was enough to claim gold at the Alexander Stadium, while Jack Houghton and Dai Greene finished second and third respectively.
After the race, Flannery told Sports Mole: "It was pretty comfortable, I tried to do a professional job. I needed a time and I needed to win. I had to win first and foremost, and I got that box ticked. Now, I can build from there and try and get the time now.
"I'm in good shape. I missed a bit of early season and that's why I haven't raced so much, but now I feel in good shape. Today was just about doing a job and I've got a few races lined up now to try and get the time down."
Flannery's personal best time is 48.80 seconds.
