Great Britain's Jonnie Peacock pays tribute to everyone that helped him reach his target of collecting a Paralympic gold medal in the men's T44 100m final.

Great Britain Paralympian Jonnie Peacock has sent his gratitude to his supporters following a "manic" day after the sprinter clinched a gold medal at the Olympic Stadium last night.

The 19-year-old won the top honour in the men's T44 100m final, which included competition from South African star Oscar Pistorius, who failed to medal.

Peacock tweeted: "Really manic day! Still not done but its all fun!! So blessed to have a support team to get me to where I am today!

"Huge thanks to everyone! You all went out of your way to help people and make it the best games ever!! So proud of you all ad thankyou!! Truly!"

Peacock contracted meningitis when he was a child.
