Eleven-time Paralympic champion Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson believes that ParalympicsGB will finish second in the overall medal table following the Games in London.
The 2012 Paralympics get underway today following last night's opening ceremony, with 28 gold medals up for grabs today.
"There is a huge amount of work that goes into the medal target, it's not just plucked from thin air," Grey-Thompson told BBC Radio Five Live.
"I think [Great Britain] will finish in second in the medal table. But everyone wants to beat the British on home soil. I'm looking forward to seeing Sarah Storey today in the cycling, I think she is going to do well."
Great Britain finished second in the medal table behind China with 42 golds in the Beijing Paralympics in 2008.
