British athlete Nigel Levine has booked his place in the semi-finals of the 400m after finishing third in his heat.
The 23-year-old didn't have the best of starts but he was able to improve as the race progressed to guarantee qualification.
Veteran Chris Brown secured victory with a time of 45.40s, with Tony McQuay of the United States coming in second place.
