Great Britain's Lisa Dobriskey and Laura Weightman failed to claim a medal from tonight's women's 1,500m final.
In what was a relatively slow race, neither of the British duo ever got themselves into contention to challenge the leaders.
Dobriskey finished 10th, while 21-year-old Weightman eventually ended up in 11th spot.
Asli Cakir Alptekin won the race in a time of 4:10.23, claiming Turkey's first ever gold Olympic athletics gold medal in the process.
Her compatriot Gamze Bulut won silver, while Maryam Yusuf Jamal of Bahrain took the bronze.
