The International Paralympic Committee has reportedly revealed that South African Paralympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius has previously expressed concerns over blade length before his outburst yesterday.
The 25-year-old, who lost the 200m final to Alan Oliveira last night, complained that the Brazilian's artificial legs, known as blades, were too long and could have given him an advantage.
It has now been revealed that IPC communications director Craig Spence received a phone call from Pistorius a number of weeks before the Games, expressing concerns over an unnamed athlete, according to The Guardian.
Pistorius, who collected his silver medal in the Olympic Stadium today, released a statement apologising for the timing of his claims.
