American long-distance runner Galen Rupp has said that he wants his training partner Mo Farah to stay with the Nike Oregon Project, despite allegations against their coach Alberto Salazar.
Salazar has been accused of violating anti-doping rules, including claims that he gave Rupp testosterone when he was just 16 years old.
Olympic champion Farah has also been dragged into the controversy surrounding Salazar, but Rupp believes that no rules have been broken and he should stick with his coach.
"We've talked, for sure. I can't speak for him, obviously, but I think we've got a great thing going and he's had great success," BBC Sport quotes Rupp as saying.
"We know we do things the right way so really that's all I've got to say to him."
Rupp claimed his seventh straight national title in the 10,000m in Eugene on Thursday to book his place at the World Championships.
