Mo Farah: 'Switch to marathon could come in 2017'

British distance runner Mo Farah reveals that he is planning a full-time switch to the marathon in 2017.

Mo Farah has revealed that he doesn't intend on switching to the marathon until the end of the 2017 season.

Farah has won a number of world and Olympic titles at 5,000m and 10,000m, but the British distance runner has insisted that he doesn't have any immediate plans to move away from the track.

The 32-year-old told reporters: "I will probably carry on until the World Championships in London in 2017. After that, I could go on to the marathon."

Farah has revealed that he supports plans for the 26.2 mile race to be staged during the evening at the 2019 World Championships in Qatar.
