New Zealand's Valerie Adams qualified for the final of the women's shot put inside London's Olympic Stadium this morning.
A throw of 20.40m was enough for the defending champion to secure her progression, although it didn't allow her to win the round.
That was Nadzeya Ostapchuk from Belarus, who recorded a distance of 20.76m.
These two competitors have been rated as the joint favourites by numerous bookmakers to win gold during tonight's final, which is due to take place at 7.15pm.
