IOC chief Jacques Rogge has spoken of his pleasure at London's organisation for the 2012 Games.
Rogge was in London on the day which marked a year exactly until the start of the Games.
"Regarding operation readiness, I'd put it on par with Sydney and Beijing," he told BBC Sport.
The IOC president also attended the opening of the Aquatics Centre, which saw British hopeful Tom Daley take the first dive into the pool.
"I've seen so many venues in my life, but when I came up [to the Aquatics Centre] I had a visual shock - this is unique, state of the art," he added.
