Phillips Idowu reveals his disappointment with the injury that forces Nelson Evora out of the Olympic games.

British triple jumper Phillips Idowu has admitted that he is disappointed he will not be competing against Nelson Evora at the Olympics this year.

Evora will miss the games in London due to a serious leg injury he suffered during a warm up in Lisbon.

Idowu claims that he would rather face Evora at the Olympics so that he can beat the best in the field.

"I wish him a speedy recovery. Nelson Evora's injury is in no way good news for me. I want to compete and win against the best," the 33-year-old tweeted.

Idowu's main rival for Olympic gold will now be France's Teddy Tamgho.
